How can I test and track the physical condition of a member

To track the physical condition of a member, Trainingym has provided several built in tests to use as a baseline or reference point. To access these tests, you will need to go to the "Members" menu and select "Active Members" or "Search File". Find the profile for the member you would like to evaluate and enter into his or her profile. Then you will click on the tab "Tests."

In this tab you will see a banner with all of the different tests provided. Click on the test you wish to perform and you will see below a list of the previous assessments (except for HR Table). To record a new test press the button "Add". Remember upon saving each test the member will have access to their results via the App, TG Touch or the web portal. You can provide members with a PDF report summarizing their results as well - see this link to learn how.

Strength Test:

The strength test provided by Trainingym is based on the 1 maximum repetition test. After pressing "Add", it will take you to this screen, click on the muscle groups you would like to evaluate from the list to the right.

A video will appear showing how to perform the test. You will mark the weight lifted and the repetitions performed. After doing so a table will appear below in which you will see your 1 repetition maximum (highlighted below in purple). Continue to choose muscle groups from the list below and completing the information. When you have finished with the various muscle groups you would like to test, press the button "Save."

Flexibility Test:

The flexibility test provided by Trainingym is based on the V-Sit and Reach flexibility test. After pressing the "Add" button you will be taken to this screen where you will see a video of how the test is performed. Record the distance from the tips of the member's fingers to the baseline. Remember if the member's fingertips do not reach the baseline the number you record will be negative. Press the "Save" button. to record the results

Cooper Test:

After you press the button "Add" you will be taken to a screen which shows you a video of how to perform the test as well as a brief description below. Record the distance and press the button "Save"

Rockport Test:

After you press the button "Add" you will be taken to a screen which shows you a video of how to perform the test as well as a brief description below. Record the time duration and the final heart rate and press the button "Save"

Measurements:

After pressing the button "Add" record the measurement of the body parts you would like to measure. Be sure to measure the circumference and consistently in the same spot of the body part. After recording the different body parts (you do not have to measure all) press the button "Save"

HR Table:

The HR Table- Heart Rate Table is not a test, instead it is a table calculated from the results of the member's blood pressure reading. Using this table you can see the corresponding heart rate for the various phases of exercising to help guide your member and advise them if they are monitoring their heart rate. See how to measure member's blood pressure by clicking here.
